Colbert Barely Resists the Urge to Convert to Mormonism
What: Stephen Colbert takes a look at Mitt's supposed weirdness and decides that Mormons are now super cool.
Quote: "This campaign makes Mormons irresistibly cool! . . . What am I saying? I'm a Catholic! Fight it!"
Reaction: This falls on the more respectful side of Mormon-themed comedy.

First of all: Haha! Very funny as usual. Second, (my original comment I almost posted before watching the clip): Yes, but Stephen Colbert is always mocking in everything he says. In the end, it makes us seem more ridiculous by pretending to be "sucked in" by our awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, he also pokes fun (at the beginning) at Christians who think Mormons are weird because of Joseph Smith receiving gold plates from an angel on a hill, and yet those same Christians don't see the comparison to Moses receiving tablets on a mountain from God.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, did you know Stephen really is a devout Catholic and even leads a youth group at his church (or something like that)?
