Reaction: Truman G. Madsen was far and away my favorite Mormon scholar/speaker. When he gave lectures, his enthusiasm enriched every part of his research. You could hear the awe in his voice with every quote that he read or account of Joseph Smith that he shared. His words were always inspiring and strengthening.
