BYU on the verge of allowing Youtube
What: BYU rethinks its infamous decision to block Youtube on campus computers.
Quote: "[V]ideos posted on the church [youtube] channel have been viewed more than 2.9 million times since the site was introduced. An Easter video from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland ranked number one on the non-commercial YouTube list."
Reaction: Students have been pushing this change for years in the Daily Universe, but they've also pushed for changes to the no-beard rule. This may mark the only time that a change of policy advocated in BYU's Daily Universe letters to the editor section actually came to fruition. Surely this is a sign of the apocalypse.

I HATE the youtube block. I teach a video production related class at BYU, and I can rarely show examples of professional work because Youtube is blocked. That is, until a student showed me a very easy way to bypass youtube by connecting to it through another site. We've used it almost every class since.
