Genealogy Buffs Forced to Learn About Mormonism

What: While trying to discover and identify the race of a long-dead individual buried in an old Vermont cemetery, Joseph Doran discovers a piece of Mormon history.

Quote: "Joseph Smith was nearby visiting his cousin when Electa's daughter took ill. Electa asked him to lay hands on the girl. 'He shows up and prays and does whatever prophets do,' Doran said. 'The little girl becomes better the next day.'"

Reaction: Genealogy and Mormonism are inextricably and forever linked, no matter how you throw the dice.
